Description: Spiritual abuse is a serious problem in our communities. Men, women, and children are all vulnerable. Oftentimes, those involved are not sure what constitutes an unhealthy student and teacher relationship and how to stay professional, yet engaged. This webinar will equip attendees with the knowledge of what spiritual abuse really means and how we can become preventative, both as students and as teachers. Our 7 speakers explore the nuances of spiritual abuse, preventative measures, guidelines for parents whose children are in the process of religious and spiritual development, and what the ideal student and teacher relationship has been according to the Sunnah of our beloved Messenger .

Poetry Webinar: How do I Write Thee? Let Me Learn the Ways

Description: A short webinar brought to us by Daybreak Press celebrating the upcoming International Poetry Month. The webinar will be broken into 3 segments. The first segment will be on performance poetry with tips and tricks on how to bring your poetry from the page to spoken word. The second segment will be an interactive writing workshop focusing on poetic devices. Finally we will end the morning with a how-to, breaking down various ways to copywrite your work. 

Course Requirements: 

  1. This is an online course so students will need access to internet. An internet speed of at least 2 Mbps is recommended for best performance. 
  2. To access the recording, students will need a computer, smartphone, or tablet/iPad with the Zoom app.
  3. Headphones, camera and microphone may be required for in-class participation. 
  4. Live attendance is recommended for best experience. Recordings of the sessions will be made available for registered students for one year from the start of the workshop.

Registration fee: $25.00

  • Participants should be women above the age of 17.
  • Registration fee is non-refundable and non-transferable.
