Ribaat Scholar Certification
Required Courses
This certification track provides the knowledge and expertise to join the line of female scholarship that is the legacy of Islam. Students who complete this certification track earn a certification in the sacred sciences and can become a resident scholar in their community, as well as a mentor and teacher-leader. They will be qualified to teach at Rabata programs, as well as at Islamic Schools, masjids and Islamic centers which accept this certification.
This program emphasizes a strong foundation in Islamic sciences, personal spiritual development, and student-teacher interaction utilizing modern educational tools and expertise. The certification is authorized and approved by the Ribaat Academic Council, under the leadership of Dr. Tamara Gray. To earn the certification, students must complete all the following courses with a passing grade in each:

Please Note:
Waiving courses: Some Arabic and Tajwid requirements may be waived based on placement test results.
Electives: One elective is required at each level. Arabic and Tajwid courses do not qualify as electives. For a 2-part course to qualify as an elective, both parts must be completed.
Advising: Before beginning on a certification track, students should meet with an advisor. Students working towards certification should continue to meet with their advisor every term. To contact the advising team, email advising@rabata.org.
